UFC Superstar “Doomsday” Open Media Workout Tomorrow!
Howard Is Aiming For A Big Win In His Own Backyard
Bristol, RI 1/10/15 – ICON Boxing Club, Rhode Island’s premier boxing and fitness gym, will be hosting an Open Workout with John “Doomsday” Howard, UFC superstar, on January 10th. The event will be an opportunity for the
public to witness his training, meet, get an autograph and take pictures with Howard. The event will
kickoff at 2 p.m.
Howard is a professional fighter who has earned a 22-10 record. He has been a professional since 2004.
Being in the UFC is important to him. “It’s a big opportunity for a new and better life for me and my
kids,” said Howard.
“John ‘Doomsday’ Howard is a class act,” Jesse Amarelo states, owner and founder of ICON Boxing Club.
“I urge everyone to come down and show your support. This is a family friendly event and everyone is
welcome.”
Open Workouts are traditional in the fighting profession, especially approaching the day of a fighter’s
match. This allows both the media and general public an opportunity to connect with the fighter as they
perform one of their final workouts before their upcoming dispute.
Howard will be fighting for the Ultimate Fighting Championship at TD Garden in Boston on January 18th.
His opponent is Lorenz “The Monsoon” Larkin, who has a 14-4 record. “Larkin is definitely a tough
competitor but we all believe in Doomsday. We know he will be victorious,” said Amarelo.
“This fight is really exciting for me. I love fighting strikers and this kid’s striking is real good. I can’t wait
to test it out,” said Howard.
